He's been doing really well! It's amazing the transformation that takes place when you go from being just a couple to being a family. I wake up before he does most of the time so far when he should need to eat. Last night was probably our best night yet.
Junior got a bath about 11 last night (both Chris and I got to escort him down there and back, I helped with parts of his bath) and then came back and ate. Chris was asleep before everyone on the couch.
Jr fell asleep shortly after burping with me following right afterward. I woke up for my pain meds a half hour later, and then blissfull sleep for all untill about 3:30am. We did the whole nursing thing agian, and Jr slept for a while. Chris got up about 5:30/6am ish to change his diaper and then pretty much took over. I fell asleep sometime around 630ish and woke up around 8am. By then, Chris had straightened up almost all of our stuff, and organized it to go home today.
We thought yesterday that we would be going home today. Right now we aren't so sure. Jr went from being a little poop machiene yesterday to not so much. This morning they repeated his bili check and his levels are at 13.9 If they were 12 or under we would be getting discharged right now. They are going to repeat the blood test at 5pm, if he's under 12 then we'll get to go home! :) Otherwise we'll be here for a little bit longer. The insurance will cover me being here through tomorrow, after that, not so much.
Here is a picture I took this morning, after getting a couple emails of "his eyes aren't open" ect - do you know how hard it is to get a picture of a newborn with their eyes open?! LOL
