Juniors blood work cameback. He was at 13.9 this morning, and as of the 5pm bloodwork he was down to 13.3 . The Dr said that if it came back under 12 he would be able to go home. So, at the current time, he is still under the lights in the NICU tanning away. He HATES the mask they use to cover his eyes, but you can really see a difference where the mask is, and where his skin has been exposed to the lights.
I've noticed he is also not near as fussy when he tries to latch on when he eats. One of his feedings, I was in their right before he started to let the nurse know he was ready for lunch. Since then he's been a little more consistant on when he is hungry, hopefully this will also get him to stop using me as a human pacifier ;). (probably not but that's okay too). I know it's definetely giving my nipples a chance to "breathe" more between feedings. As a bonus to counter the setbacks (jaundice) we've been dealing with today, my milk has come in. This should also help not only with the jaundice but helping Jr feel like he's getting more out of the feedings.
I'm off to take a nap before I get summoned again to the NICU. Especially since this seems to be the time of night he's more fussy and wants to just nurse ;)
