Home Once Again

Junior and I had a wonderful time in Florida. Thank You to Jess, Ronnie, Jess' Aunt Robin & Uncle Kevin as well as her Mom and Dad, and Ronnie's dad, Ronald for letting us stay/hang out at their houses!

Pictures from our trip:

Jr in his first swing ride - that wasn't a baby sing made by Fisher-Price

Temporary Blog Header... Explination

In support of my give away for Breast Cancer Awareness month (see Save the Ta-ta's) I've changed my header.

Yes, I have a son. Yes he's in a pink onesie that I specifically put "Save the Ta-Ta's" on it. If you have issues with a boy wearing pink - especially for a good cause - you my friend have issues. So before I get any emails, or nasty comments, I will simply state that the Cause for what the give away was inteded to bring attention to is what is important. Not the fact my son is wearing a pink shirt. (And for the record: Mom thinks he ROCKS the pink!)

The give away is still up for grabs! You have untill next October 29th to leave me a comment on the Save the Ta-ta's post to put your official entry in!!

So where does the Car Seat go?!

So a few of you have asked, when I've talked about the MgB my husband has taken over restoring - where the carseat goes? Well for the mean time (***DISCLAIMER*** this is not intended to BE a carseat - just a temporary place for Jr to sit while I had to assist Chris* **) this is where he sits ;)

I had been pumping the brakes for Chris and Jr fell asleep in my arms. This was our temporary solution so that our son was not in the house by himself. Odds are he'll spend a fair amount of time with Dad out in the garage over the years ;)

Pardon Me as I Type One Handed

Surgery Update:

I had my follow up with the surgeon this morning that removed my gall bladder. He was more interested in checking out Jr then me. LOL, I'm a little biased but I think he IS the CUTEST 33 day old baby EVER!!!!

As for me in regards to the surgery - 100% healed. When I get cleared by Dr G to start working out again, the surgeon is a-ok with it!

Other "Me" Related Things

I realized this weekend that despite the fact that breast feeding is helping me loose weight (I've lost more then I gained while carrying Jr at this point), I still need to be watching what I eat. Otherwise I have days like I did this entire weekend where ALL I do is eat. I'm constantly hungry and there fore I feel the need to snack. CONSTANTLY. I threw it down with my mother in law that I would get to my goal weight and she would not be the only one to shed the un-wanted weight. I realized that the way I've been eating (while alot healthier then it was while pregnant) is fine while breast feeding, but once he's weaned I'll be screwed.

That's why I decided I am going to go back on Weight Watchers. My first weigh in is tomorrow. This worked for me in the past (pre-pregnancy) and I know that even when I wasn't as "strict" in following the program, I was eating better then I am right now. I also like the fact that they take in to consideration Breast Feeding women! Besides... It's not a diet - it's a lifestyle!

Junior....

Who could resist a picture of my beautiful little man?! (who since starting this blog has actually fallen asleep and let me type this w/ both hands! :) )

Pictures from the Hosptial

These pictures are off my cell phone from our most recent hospital stay:

Jr letting us know what he thought of the mask having to be taped to his face.... he kept pulling it off otherwise

Jr living the life, tanning under the UV lights. One of the FEW times he was happy on his back

I couldn't resist capturing this one. And yes... it's total blackmail for when he's older and watching those "classic" re-runs of Married with Children... that's an Al Bundy impersonation if I've ever seen one ;)

Guess What?! WE ARE HOME!!!

Junior and I finally made it home last night! (well with Daddy too). The boys (Sox & Calvin) where happy that ANYbody came home, but I think they were really happy to see me. We got home around 9pm last night, with finally getting a wet diaper from the circumcision at about 630pm. And after some confusion on the part of our NICU nurse, and one last visit from Dr G to check the circumcision, we got to go home about 830ish.

Here are some pictures from the hospital yesterday:

Clarification

I got an email asking me if the Random Pictures post was me and my family - Yes and No.

Being in the military (or married to it) means that you become an extended family of sorts with those around you. That being said, (and most of you who know me anyhow, or at least "read" me know this) Here are the people who appear in the pictures (I am not in there! LOL) : Jess, Colten, Megan (niece), Chris (husband), Ronnie, Trace, Arthur (nephew, sandwiched between Megan & Chris in line). Jess, Ronnie, Trace & Colten are good friends of ours who we have come to know & love like family.

The picture of Arthur's arm, holding up what looks like a mobile, is a mobile. It's currently hanging over Jr's changing table, and is a way of incorporating his Daddy's love of aviation (and occupation) into the room. The airplanes are models I purchased at a local craft store and the helicopters I also picked up there - Megan & I just painted them, to try and match the color of Chris' current "ride": .

I am off shortly to my 37 week appointment where hopefully we will get some good news! Updates later ;)
