Baby S Has arrived!

Due to the fact I am not sure that his mommy wants me posting his name on my site, we are going to refer to my new nephew as "Baby S" for now. Till I come up with a better nick name or his mommy says it's okay. In the mean time here are his stats and a few pics :)

Born: 1830 (6:30pm) PST
Weight: 6lbs 13oz
Height: 19 1/2" long.

He came out screaming, despite having the cord wrapped around his neck twice! He was born via c-section.

The Nurse was kind enough to hold him up for his first photo... I'm counting this as his first photo with his VERY proud auntie because if you look carefully you can see my reflection!

Shortly after I took this one through the nursery glass Baby S was SUCKING on Dad's finger. He was hungry! (They took him back to Mom shortly after that too and he latched on and nursed like he'd been doing it forever!)

I couldn't be more proud to consider this woman my sister! Welcome to the very elite club named "Mommy-hood". Love ya!!!! You did good!!!

Invasion of Privacy

We found out today that my Brother & Sister in Law's house was robbed today. Thankfully the kids where at school, and my sister-in-law found out that her house had been robbed prior to the kids coming home from school - not that it makes it any less tramatic for my niece and nephews, but still good that the kids had mom and dad there when they came home to it.

Nothing is worse then having your personal space invaded like that. To anyone who hasn't ever had such an experiance the best I can equate it to, is having your purse stolen (if your a woman, or if you carry a "bag" if your a guy I guess) or for you manly men, your vehicle being broken into. (the later has happend to both me and Chris in the past). Knowing that someone has intentionally invaded your space and removed your belongings for whatever reason really can be unnerving. Not only that, it makes you mad. Mad that someone would care so little about somone else's personal space to invade it. Mad that things that may seem trivial, really are important. (totally referring to my nephews insane need for video games - yes the video consoles are GONE... controllers, system & games - everything!)

As a family member - it makes me mad for them. I know what it feels like to have everything you think is "safe" violated. And it sucks that there is nothing I can do to make it better or make those feelings of home being "safe" return agian. As much as I wish I could... I feel just as helpless as I'm sure they do (to some degree.)
