October is all about the Breasts!

Yeah, some of you will look at this in digust... but hey it's my blog!

So while boredly reading the Yahoo home page earlier... I came across a link about Angelina Jolie's "controversial" cover page on W Magazine. What the heck is wrong with a celebrity breast feeding?! This woman (while not a person I like to watch on the big or small screen I do admire her philanprothy) is known for not following the social "norms" so to speak and does things a little un-conventional. I am totally stoked that she is/was willing to be photographed in a tasteful manner and have it published doing something that is soo benifical to her children.

Now before anyone says I'm being unfair to those who choose not to breast feed... to each their own. You do what you need to do for yourselves and your family. Some just physically aren't able to, some just don't want to. And that's cool. Really it is. But I think that the more information out there about breast feeding the better - and it's completely awesome in my book that someone so high profile as Angelina is putting it out there that it doesn't matter who you are, how busy you are (as obviously she is), but you can do something so great for your child.

It is really sad that most doctors and hospitals now automatically assume you will formula feed (both my OB & Hospital did). Many young mothers don't get all the information on how good it can be for both mother and baby.
