This Week's Play List

This Week’s Play list

One – U2 Ft. Mary J. BligeI really like this song, and have actually been listening/singing along with it for most of my pregnancy. This morning, it was the first song on iTunes that Jr started grooving to.

Born in the USA – Bruce Springsteen earlier this week this song came on the radio and Jr seemed to like it (he was squirming anyhow). Plus it’s one of those songs you just equate to listening to during the summer while outside next to the pool, lake, whatever hanging out with friends. A song everyone knows ;)

Summertime – Leona LewisThis is one of the most soulful renditions of this song I have heard in a long time since Ms. Ella Fitzgerald. I have always loved this song.

Boondocks – Little Big TownAnother shot out to home. Growing up, my hometown was a “hick” town – just ask Sarah if you don’t believe me! – reminds me of kids talking about hanging out at “Camp Far West”.

No Air – Jordin SparksThis is another song that Jr started grooving to while driving down the road last week. So I downloaded it. He still grooves. It’s a whole lot better than listening to Miley!!!

Good As Gone – Little Big TownA grooving song for me :) it also goes along with some other things going on with me right now. (not related to Chris…. I know this song is about leaving a lover, but that’s not the application here)

I’m Alright – Jodee MessinaI went to the bar for an “attitude adjustment” last Thursday and the only song that came to mind if I was going to sing (I didn’t) karaoke that night was this one. Mostly, because despite everything else – I’m doing alright!

Hound Dog – Elvis PreslyThis is another song that Jr picked out this morning. Atleast we are getting him away from Miley!!! :) Elvis has always been alright in my book.

Broken – Lindsay Haun (from the Broken Bridges Sound Track) – the movie I think I’ve seen half a dozen times. (Thank you CMT) I like the song, and the lyrics can apply to any situation – a death in the family, a fight, a break up whatever or an emotional realization that people you think that are your friends really aren’t.

Apologize – One RepublicThis one relates to another blog once I figure out how to put it down into words. Basically I feel used by someone I thought was a friend.

Bleeding Love – Leona LewisThis one actually led to me finding the Summertime track. I really like her sound, and who would have thought she’s the UK version of Kelly Clarkson!

Somewhere Over the RainbowBrother Izz – (you spell out his name lol it’s on the play list) I’ve always liked this song, but absolutely LOVE this version! You can’t get a more mellow, relaxed feeling then you can from this song! Plus it reminds me of babies w/ it’s soothing sound!

Mockingbird- James Taylor & Carly SimonI *HEART* JT! And I love this version of this song. It’s fun and Jr likes it too!

Suddenly I see – KT TunstallThis kind of goes along with Apologize – “Suddenly I see why this means so much to me".

Something to Be Proud Of – Montgomery GentryA shot out to my husband, me and our family. I’m proud of where we’ve come from, through and where we are going.

Unwritten – Natasha BeddingfieldTomorrow is unwritten. So live it up, and write your own story ;)
