What a Memory Can Do to You!

What 28 year old is influenced by a 3 year old?

Well, now I can proudly proclaim that I am! Most of you know that my friend Jess, and her two sons are my main source of entertainment when I'm not at school or studying. Jess' husband left for Bahrain in November, right after Chris got home so her and the boys went to Florida to stay while he's gone. Since they've been gone I've been pretty lonely. Any how...

So prior to Jess and the boys moving back home, Trace (the older one) and I kind of made it a habit that if I had a quarter when we went to Wal-Mart that we would try and win something from the claw machiene. I mean it's only a quarter right? Needless to say it got pretty addicting for both of us :) We would try just about every single time we went. Mostly you could hear the "Oh man!" when we didn't win coming from the buggy.

This brings me to today. I talked to Jess on the phone this afternoon prior to running some errands (which included Wal-Mart). (Jess will be back with the boys in about 2 weeks - so I'm really looking forward to that!) Well while walking out of Wal-Mart with the few purchases I actually made (Hey made it out of walmart for under $20 so it was a good day for me - not so good day for Wally world!) and ofcourse started to miss Trace apon seeing the Claw Machiene. So I decided to stop and play a bit. I actually put a dollar in, which surprised me.

First two tries... nada. And I could hear in my head (and see) my favorite 3 year old standing in the buggy, stomping his foot, fists clenched saying,"OH MAN!". However, on my thrid attmept I scored this bear.
Walmart Score #1

Since I put a dollar in, I still had one more shot. And I not only managed to get the original bear I was trying for, but also an added prize too..
Wal Mart Score #2

I believe that it is safe to say that I am in for a world of trouble when my own child comes along.... pretty much - I'm screwed!
