Junior hit a milestone today :). I couldn't be MORE proud!!! While we were lounging on my bed this morning, after he finished drinking his chocolate milk he decided he was ready to get down and play. While leaning half off my bed, he suddenly looked up at me and said "I ub ooo" blew me a kiss and proceed to finish getting off the bed and ran off to play. Part of me wanted to say, "Hey! Come back here and say it agian!" while the other part could only swoon. He definitely is too cute! Now when I try to get him to say it agian, he just smiles and laughs then shakes his head no. The little turkey really is beginning to understand what is being asked of him.
His favorite past time this week has been beating on a pot
that I let him play with. Originally I gave him the pot and a wooden spoon to use on the floor so he could "cook" while I cooked. Then he discovered that stainless steel pots don't need to be turned upside down to become a drum. He likes to beat on it morning (the picture on the left), noon (the one on the right) and night (the bottom left)
.If you can't tell, he is dumping a bucket of water (from the tub) on himself as he stands outside the tub. Ahhh such is the life of being the mother of a toddler. Would any of Jr's extended family like to "borrow" him for a bit??? ;)
No matter how "bad" he is, he inevitably does something cute that helps Mommy not be so mad and frustrated. We "inherited" this toy box from a friend of a friend. It's shaped like an old car. Jr prefers to climb on top and make it rock back and forth (it actually does roll). The hood compartment and the trunk compartment can both be used as toy storage, but you can see from the picture what Jr prefers to hide in it ;).
