Life As It Is

We have been in Texas a whopping two and a half weeks. A whole whopping two and a half weeks. No daycare interactions, none of the typical interactions that bring colds and the yuckies. This past week it's all come down hill for us. Junior's "rattle" that we are waiting on a visit a different allergist (then our last moron) - the same one that I have seen for my asthma - had gotten worse. Chris and I both heard it getting worse so Thursday I called and got an appointment with the Ped clinic on base.

The Ped we saw (Dr. R - the one we saw when Jr was first born - she's the same one who admitted us to the Children's hospital when Jr had jaundice) said she could definitely hear the rattle and said he was working on a double ear infection. She was happy we made an appointment because she was pretty sure we would have made a trip to the ER if we hadn't come in. :-(

So she ordered a nebulizer for Jr, amoxicillian and a decongestant. Four days into treatment now, Jr is starting to sound better (although he's got more boogers).

Much to my disgust - I started to feel crappy on Saturday. It was a rapid descent for me to the "pit of despair". Today I am feeling better, surviving the best as I can LOL! Chris is back at work - escaping the house of yuckies! Hopefully we will kick the rest of these yuckies to crud to the curb!
