Friends, Breast Cancer and What You Can Do To Help

If you read/looked at any of my photo blogs from Jr and I trip to LA you saw pictures of our friends Cooper and Julie.

Julie is currently at the beginning of the fight of her life. She was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer (read her journey here). While having insurance is great - it doesn't cover everything. Between her husband who is away for work more then he is home (unfortunately) and the multiple upcoming surgeries, chemo and radiation she will be enduring, Julie quite literally can use all the help she can get. (And while I know that she will be completely shocked that I am putting this out there, I know she will be completely grateful for any and all support she receives). A mutual friend of Julie and I started this fundraiser to allow Julie to not only cover the medical cost side of things but also so that she will be able to ensure that she has help for and with Cooper while her husband Bob is away for work. (If you have any questions or concerns regarding where the donations are going or being accounted for, please contact Diana at icare4causes@gmail.com. She handles all aspects of where donations are received and given to the intended recipients. )

Everyone these days knows someone or has been touched by cancer in some way. The only way we will ever eradicate it is to fight it!

Now here is what you can do to help: Visit this link and donate! We were just able to score some of these from a wonderful donor - who doesn't care to be named at this point in time, to offer you something tangible for your donation. We do ask that for the bracelets that you make a donation of atleast five dollars (this covers the cost or purchasing them, as well as allows us to order more of them and still help Julie.)

If you need more information regarding donations please contact icare4causes@gmail.com

JR is definitely supporting his buddy Cooper's Mom :)

I'd like to just say SCREW EVERYBODY that keeps RAVing people. Ugh. Get a hobby, people.

Anyway, I REALLY, REALLY wish I could donate. However, since I'm getting ready to take in 2 teenagers, I just can't. However, Julie is often (I won't say always b'cuz I have a lot going on!) in my thoughts.

And THANK YOU to you and Diana for being so supportive!
