Once Again....

The Grace Bone Strikes!

While attempting to help my mother in law bring the cattle in today (so they can be sorted tomorrow for sale) and had a lovely outcome. I was trying to close the final gate that would keep the cows in, and all of a sudden the post that the gate is attached to fell over. It is still attached to the fence (which is good for keeping cattle in). However, when it fell over it also fell landing on the four wheeler. Oh wait - my hand was between the gate (actually it was holding on to the gate) and the four wheeler.

I now have two welts across the skin between my fore finger and thumb as well as a slight bruise that the swelling comes and goes (as it pleases so it seems). I still have some pain in my hand but at the moment I am waiting to see what it looks and feels like in the morning. I can guarentee though, that if I wake up in pain I will be in the car shortly there after headed into town to the hospital for an x-ray. Ahh... the Gracie comes out at the best/worst of times. In my defense, my mother in law knew the post holding the gate was loose. I just closed the gate before she could warn me.
