Wildlife

The best part of living on the ranch: wildlife.
The worst part of living on the ranch: wildlife.

I'm still trying to figure out how this happened. I went out to the garage to change a load of laundry from the washer to the dryer. I couldn't figure out why it smelled off. Not sour, just off. Half way through putting the clothes in the dryer I am pretty sure I found the cause. There was litterally a drowned mouse in the washing machiene. I do laundry once a week or more if needed. The mouse did not go into the washer with the clothes. Atleast I know I did not put it in there. I shake out each shirt, check all pockets etc so I know it wasn't in the laundry basket. (Remember I am married to a man who works on the helicopters he flys on and often brings things home in pockets).

Either way - it was a very gross experiance. The mouse, sadly did not make it through the wash cycle. and I.Do.NOT.Do.Rodents!

LMAO

You poor thing. I would have freaked out. I don't do well with rodent-surprises.

Love the new banner! Wanna come to Ohio and do one up for me? ;)

Haha! When I lived on a ranch in Texas we had a mouse problem. It got so bad at one point I would catch them and they LET me do it! I remember seeing one one the counter and it watched me walk up to it, cover it w/ a jar, and I released it in the pasture. My ex DH was not fond of this and compared me to Cinderella. Eventually it got so bad we had to get poison. Poor Jack! RIP buddy!

OMG...I'm with Lizze - I'd have freaked. I used to live in the country and had tons of field mice in my driveway and garage ALL THE TIME. When my car was totalled in 2001 and the body shop was tearing it down for parts, they found a mice nest that was enormous and filled with both live and dead mice..the live ones scattered all over their garage and freaked out the mechanics LOL. Ah...country life. ;)
