Hanging out in the 'Hood'

Army wives is back!!!! Jess and I got to watch it last night here at the house with out any boys! It was nice (to be able to cry like a baby and no one but us could see!) It feels like I've been missing good friends!! I am sooo glad that they are back!

One of the things that I like about this show is it does actually apply to all branches of the military - now if a spouse from any branch will tell you that or not is another story - but it really does apply! And a great thing about it is, it gives you some insight into how wives or spouses (Roland is included here too) deal with the huge machiene called the Military that they are in a way married to - and it does it from a high ranking perspective (Claudia Joy's) to a low and new to this perspective (Roxy's). It also fosters an idea I learned here where I live - that just because your spouse wears a rank means you do too. Sure my husband is considered a lowely Petty Officer by some - but I have made friends with spouses who range in rank from a Leutenant to Admiral. And you know what? They are friendships I would do anything to protect, because just like Roxy said last season "I choose you to be my family. Thank you for being my family". It really is what we become, and regardless of rank share a bond that most people outside the military don't understand.

Hanging Out in the Pool....

So this afternoon Jess brought her pool over and I had already filled mine up so we stuck the boys in mine (it's a little smaller than hers) and we lounged in hers. I'm still trying to figure out just how laying in a pool can tire you out so much!!! And make you ravenously hungry all at the same time!! Either Weds or Thurs I will probably get my niece to take a picture of me lounging in the pool so you all can see just what I mean :).
