The sunburns belong to Chris and Arthur. (perhaps they will listen when I say "PUT MORE SUNBLOCK ON!!" Next time we go to the beach! Granted in the picture, it looks worse then it was. Yesterday he was finally not whining anymore about how "This hurts worse then a bee sting!" (There are more pictures from the beach but they are currently on Chris' camera which is in his car - if we go up to watch his flight take off later today I may pick it up)The two sore fingers belong to Megan, after one game of bowling. Unfortunately since I'm not supposed to be lifting things, I got to be a spectator. The only picture we have from the bowling alley is this one, proving that even with auto focus, my husband doesn't know how to focus my camera:
The kids have learned how to play rummy, and have picked up on it pretty quickly - not that it's a paticularily hard game to play, just one that Chris and I tend to play more often then not. I woke up yesterday (after a flexaril induced sleep in) to find both the kids at the table playing Rummy and arguing as only siblings can about the rules. It was nice to see them NOT entranced in the Xbox or the DVD player ;).
There have also been a couple "family" moments. Such as, a family "dog pile" on Uncle Chris... and by dog pile I mean literally. Arthur had started it, so Chris pinned him to the couch and it just kind of snowballed from there. Arthur's misguided hope that by calling Sox up on the loveseat with him on top of Chris would stop him, obviously backfired, as not only Sox got up there, but so did Calvin, and Megan helped too. (Although I think she was more into picking on Chris while he was "pinned down")
