Okay... so I'm officially at the end of the second trimester. This week coming up is the final week (according to my pregnancy book). So where oh where is that long awaited spurt of energy?! I am beginning to think it is TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY a myth and anyone who claims to have gotten it is not being truthful.
Perhaps I got it and didn't notice it? Lets see...: it's uncomfortable to sleep, sitting is uncomfortable, I gave up trying to position pillows in a way that would make it possible for me to sleep on my stomach with out smooshing the heck out of Jr a long time ago, oh and this little turkey is finding new and exciting ways to kick/hit his momma. Its also odd - to me- that my best hour (or so depending on the day) of sleep comes after Chris gets up to get showered and ready for work. Normally between the time his alarm goes off and he gets in the shower I'm out like a rock. Now on Tuesdays and Thursdays, he has to wake me up after he gets dressed or I will keep sleeping. (as proved last week when I slept through my microbiology class).
I am just sooooo ready to not be physically tired like this anymore. I'm pretty sure that my asthma is probably playing a small role in this - and the fact I feel like I'm fighting off a cold. I feel like a whimp whining about being tired, when I have friends going through pregnancy with me who are facing much tougher roads, and despite my being tired - I do not envy the amount of time they are required to stay in bed right now. Truth be told I'd be bored out of my skull with in a couple hours.
Lucky for me I have my 24 week appointment tomorrow. Whooo hooo. The highlight of my day!
Highlight of the week: My friend Ms. Jean is coming to town and I get to have breakfast with her on Friday! She moved to VA back this past summer, so this will be the first time I've seen her in almost a year (well close enough anyhow). She has become part of my extended military family and I'm proud just to say that I know her! :)

Some mommies-to-be get the return of energy. Some of us (you'll notice I said US) never see it. My best advice is to follow this link and convice Chris that you NEED THIS, you WANT IT, you HAVE TO HAVE IT (as I used to say when I was 3)!!!

Rob bought me one for Christmas and it's HEAVENLY!!! We found mine at Babies R Us or you can order them from Amazon. Definitely look into it...seriously!
I have a body pillow - and I don't go to bed with out it- it helps some, but my problem is I get hot too easy. (I make chris mad - I kick the covers off now and I never use to) So any extra pillows at this point will drive me NUTS. (This is actually a funny point - me getting hot because anyone who knows me, knows I was always cold prior to this little turkey!)
