Since I am pretty music-orientated (very rarely do I have the TV on and not the radio, iTunes ect) and this went over last time - I'm going to start posting a new playlist every week or there about. Basicly following the same thing I did in my Random-but not Random post.
So here we go: My 24 Week playlist.
*Edited: I don't know why I can't get the player to show up like it did before, however if you click the stand alone or pop out it will open in another window*
Track 1: Good Night Moon - Jack Ingram: On my search for new music earlier this week Jr was kicking up a storm and stopped when this song was playing. I think it *may* follow the children's book but I'm not sure.
Track 2: What Hurts the Most - Cascada: This is a Rascall Flatts cover, but to a dance "beat". I like the song either way, but was in a dance mode this week to a certain extent. Also, we've all experianced that moment when someone walks away and your left with so much more you wanted/needed/had to say.
Track 3: Last Dollar - Tim McGraw: My weekly shot out to Trace :). There's nothing like hearing a 3 yr old sing part of the chorus, over and over! It just helps that he's soo cute when he does it! (plus when I'm crabby he seems to just break out singing this song!)
Track 4: You Make Loving Fun - Fleetwood Mac: Who doesn't like Fleetwood Mac? We have found that Jr does, and this is one of the songs he seems to like.
Track 5: Better Half - Keith Urban: This is for my hubby :). He was such a sweety staying up till 2am last night to finish striping and buffing our kitchen/dinning room tile floors. Thank you honey :)
Track 6: Glamorous - Fergie: My shot out to Sarah :). She's been my best friend since too many years to count, and ever since my trip home last fall I can't hear this song and NOT sing it at the top of my lungs like we did on our trip out to Beale ;)
Track 7: American Pie - Don Mclean: Agian another song that you can't just help but sing along with. Lots of great memories from Highschool revolve around this song. (Mr. Jones & Sports Medicine) Also I was kind of in a Folk/Classic Rock mode at one point this week.
Track 8: Dreams - Fleetwood Mac: Jr started squirming when I played this earlier this week. And I like it!
Track 9: Upside Down - Jack Johnson: A good song that you can "mellow" to, or get little kids to dance silly ;)
Track 10: I wish I was a Punk Rocker - Sandi Thom: A girl that was born too late - at times this is me. I can relate to this song in more aspects than I first realized.
Track 11: My Next 30 Years - Tim McGraw: :) How I see my next 30 years - except I don't like lemonade (blech) sweet tea instead please :)
Track 12: New Strings - Miranda Lambert: A song about a new beginning, and having a child is definetly that ;)
Track 13: It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing) - Duke Ellington: I had a short Swing/Big Band mode this week. And you really can't go wrong with this era, in my opinion!
Track 14: Famous In A Small Town - Miranda Lambert: In our own way, we are all famous in our home towns. Regardless of how far you've gone, travled, moved ect. Someone back home knows you, and can tell all kinds of stories on you ;)
Track 15: What a Wonderful World - Louie Armstrong: This is one of those songs that regardless of what genre you listen to, you know it. It's about birth, babies, growing up and the eventual looking back at the end. Plus who doesn't love Louie's voice????
Track 16: Let it Be - The Beatles: My decision to not say anything about a situation earlier this week. I chose to let it be - not forget, but let it be, for now. On the music side - it's a good song.
