Hearts, Babies and Presents

Valentines Day Part two

Since Chris and I decided to do our Valentines Day stuff this weekend, and he actually got the weekend off it was a great choice! This morning we after I got up, we went to get pedicures. Make fun of him, I don't think so. Many a man has gone and gotten a pedicure - it just shows that they care about those two skis they walk around on. Plus I don't know anyone who would turn down the massaging chair! We had a good time, despite the salon being extreamly busy (there must be a dance at one of the local highschools tonight or something. Chris had such a good time that now that we are home he doesn't want to do anything at all except lay on the couch and play Xbox. Go figure. Pamper a man and then they expect it for the rest of the day!

As for the gift that he tortured me with the past couple of days, he actually was making a very sweet attempt at it. I have said for YEARS that when we have children that I wanted to get a gliding rocker. Well my husband didn't have time to actually go pick one up or find one that he would like also this past week, so yesterday we went after he got off work to see if we could find one that we both liked. We visited Wal-Mart, three diffrent furniture stores and then came home and looked online. No one had one that we liked, the main issues being either cost or the color of the pad. (surprisingly I was not the one who was being picky on the fabric color!!!!) My loving husband wanted one that was going to "go with" the color scheme we decided to go with for the baby's stuff and that to him means no white cushion. (I think there was more of a fear of a certian dog figuring out how to get up in it and leaving little black hairs all over it.) We've found a couple online, now I just need to make a decision and order it. He really did do a good job, considering this is the first year he's really attempted to get me something.

Ultrasound/baby update

As for the Ultrasound stuff, I found out that the place that does the 3D ultrasounds here in town offers a military discount... now if only their office was staffed yesterday at 8:30am when I called to find out how much of a discount! I guess I will try calling agian on monday... I just hate leaving a message for someone to call me back... if you run a buisness then shouldn't you have someone to answer the phones?!

The baby has been moving more and more here lately. Yesterday it felt like I had an alien in my stomach, which was kind of a relief because the night before I had a hard time finding the heartbeat with the doppler. It is kind of a trip to have your stomach move and to know your not the one making it do that. This should be interesting as the little turkey gets bigger and stronger. As soon as I find out if I get another ultrasound through the doctor, I will probably set up a poll to see who thinks it's a boy or girl. So keep an eye out!
